This was taken in Les Beaux in France. On the top of a small rocky outcrop, a village has grown up and the wind crosses the valley and sculpts the stones used to build. Most buildings were subject to this fierce force of nature and I can't help wondering if the chemical change in the atmosphere over the past century has sped up the process. It fascinates me how sometimes, destructive force can be so beautiful:This fungi is slowly breaking down the wood that belonged once to a tall and mighty tree. It is nature taking beauty and making another beauty.
