High days and holidays
North CornwallWe spent a week on holiday on the north coast of Cornwall near Chapel Amble, not a long way from home but just far enough to feel like we were 'away'. It was breathtakingly beautiful and the weather did us proud. We walked on empty beaches and gazed at vast skies which looked like paintings. We lit fires in the evening and ate great food. It was soothing for my soul and a feast for my eyes, I took a million photos and sketched and conjured ideas out of that wonderful, clean, open place. We followed on with a trip to Norway, Im in love with Norway since we visited last year and it was wonderful to go back and see the Northern Lights for the first time. I will write at greater length about this trip at a later date, I could write reams. It is quietly desolate, hauntingly beautiful, incredibly addictiveand where a part of my heart lays I think. The older I get, the more I am drawn to the quiet places on our planet where my mind can wander and the distractions of our interconnected world vanish to be replaced by a wonder and a calm that feels like a drug.
