Understated contemporary gold and tanzanite ring

Set in recycled 9ct gold with a silver back to reflect the light through the stone, this beautiful tanzanite has a soft lilac colour with milky inclusions and a faceted freeform shape.

The contemporary gold ring shank is lightly textured for an organic look and has been hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office.

Tanzanite is the trade name for a mineral called zoisite. It was coined by Tiffany Co because the only known commercial deposits of the stone come from Tanzania. It has grown significantly in popularity since the late 1960’s and has been designated as the modern birth stone for December.
