A large piece of polished rutile quartz is the feature of this beautiful contemporary ring. The band is etched with the names of endangered species and the stone is held in place with 3 Fairtrade gold claws.

The beautiful stone has a golden shine to it, especially as the light catches the inclusions. Rutile is a titanium dioxide inclusion in stones that shows as a golden ‘silk’ and looks different in each instance where it occurs. It is said to have strong healing and cleansing properties and used in jewellery by ancient peoples.

The ring is a one-off design and is sure to attract attention.
