Texture silver and Peruvian Blue Opal wrap ring.

The Peruvian blue opal has a wonderful iridescent quality to it and the inclusions in this stone are reminders of seaweed forms in summer rock pools. The surface of the silver ring shows marks of the making process and the hands that formed it and has a texture like sea carved sand.

Found only in the Andes in Peru, the faceted blue opal has beautiful dendritic details reminiscent of summer rock pools and holidays by the sea. It is set in a simple rub over setting to highlight the beauty of the stone.

The colour of the Peruvian Opal is said to look like the Caribbean sea but I think it looks very much like the coves around Cornwall in the summer when the sea turns a stunning turquoise and the rock pools team with life. 

The stone is said to encourage creativity, soften the effects of stress and brings courage. It is the perfect gift for lovers of wild places and our natural environment.
