A statement necklace of reticulated silver and gold set with a large rectangular rutilated quartz. The timeless design and beautiful golden strands within the stone make this a really unique piece of eye catching contemporary jewellery.

Rutilated Quartz is used by some as a unifying stone and it is believed to be full of positive and strong energy. Rutile is a titanium dioxide inclusion in stones that shows as a golden ‘silk’ and looks different in each instance where it occurs. Also called Venus's hair stone after its fine golden hairs, the ancients were drawn to its glistening luster, a distinctive characteristic that was incorporated into jewelry for that extra touch of glamour and sparkle.

Reticulation is a process of heating and ‘pickling’ the sterling silver a number of times until the pure silver has come to the surface. Consequently, the silver starts to melt and run into beautiful forms reminiscent of sand moulded by water or rough granite.
