Teardrop Peruvian Blue Opal and gold ring
Teardrop Peruvian Blue Opal and gold ring
Teardrop Peruvian blue opal set in a delicate gold setting.
This ring is a really unique piece of jewellery incorporating a stunning clear teardrop Peruvian Blue Opal with black dentritic forms.
Found only in the Andes in Peru, the faceted blue opal in this unique ring has beautiful dendritic details which are reminiscent of summer rock pools and holidays by the sea. It is set in a 9ct gold claw setting on a perfectly simple recycled 9ct gold band to set off the opal.
The colour of Peruvian Opal is said to look like the Caribbean sea but I think it looks very much like the coves around Cornwall in the summer when the sea turns a stunning turquoise and the rock pools team with life.
The stone is said to encourage creativity, soften the effects of stress and brings courage. You can read more about Peruvian Blue Opals in my blog
