Gift list - 12 days of Christmas

I think its always nice to get good recommendations for gift buying, and so, here are some of my favourite small businesses who work really hard all year to create stunning products with soul, beauty and originality. I hope you can find something on this list that would make a gorgeous gift for a loved one this winter.

Teas from Trees (Below left) My friend Lou has been working really hard on creating wonderful blends of tea made from trees and flowers in unique combinations. Delicious and certified organic, these are a gorgeous gift for those seeking a healthier start to the new year. https://www.fromtrees.com

David Abram’s stunning photography, http://www.davidabram.co.uk He sells cracking calendars for those who love to be beautifully organised. (Above right)

The Wild Isles by Patrick Barkham. This is a dip into many great writers’ works. It includes excerpts from Rewinding by Isabella Tree and Chris Packham’s Fingers in the Sparkle Jar. I was gifted this for my birthday this year and thoroughly recommend such a well considered collection.

Tim Lake Ceramics (below right) Simple, stunning, useful. https://timlakeceramics.bigcartel.com

Lucy Turner Marquetry : For a grand gesture (Above left) I have known Lucy since we both had shops in Penryn, many moons ago. Her furniture is bold and exceptionally well made. She made my first office desk from a G-Plan dressing table! /www.lucyturnermodernmarquetry.com

For characterful creations and workshops (Below left) Kate’s fuzzy characters make me smile, especially the dogs and joyful naked folk, each with their own little bio! https://www.katetoms.co.uk

A gift that keeps giving, Plant Life membership. (above right) I am a member of Plantlife and they do really informative lectures, online courses and publish a good magazine quarterly. https://www.plantlife.org.uk

Republic of Happy : Joyous textiles for your home (Below right) I have one of her vibrant aprons and a beautiful cushion in this print which brighten up my kitchen. https://republicofhappy.co.uk

Amy Copper and St Mawes Scent room collaboration make some gorgeous scents in beautiful keepsake porcelain holders (Above left) My favourite is cocoon in a shallow porcelain dish, it looks cosy and smells deliciously comforting. https://amycooperceramics.co.uk/collections/candle-holders https://www.stmawesscentroom.co.uk/shop/candles

Rachel Corney makes beautiful illustrations to help your young ones learn about wildlife. (Below left) I was given her bee card which is now framed on the wall to help me remember their names! https://www.rachelcorneyillustration.co.uk

Peter Lanyon Furniture : For stunning bird boxes, greenwood furniture and carpentry workshops (Above right). We did a workshop with Peter and loved it. It was in a glorious setting with expert tuition and wonderful people. If workshops aren’t your thing though, his bird boxes make lovely gifts that help our garden wildlife too. https://www.peterlanyonfurniture.co.uk

Lucy Spink Jewellery choice. And of course, as a final note, I have to add in a piece of my own work. I think these would be a really special little treat to find under the tree on Christmas day and they won’t break the bank either.
