Introducing ...

These are strange times we are living in, no doubt about it. We are constantly making small adjustments to allow for new ‘rules’ and slowly expanding our horizons again. One of the nice things to happen recently is the re-opening of galleries and independent shops. These, for me, are the places which add colour and life to the highstreets and identity to our towns.

During lockdown, a few of the galleries I stock have remained open through their online services. For me and my fellow makers, this has been very much appreciated! So, as a gesture of thanks, I want to introduce you to them and maybe, if you live nearby, you can plan a visit and see the collections on show.

Falmouth, Cornwall, Beside The Wave Gallery. This is the most local to me, just across the water from Flushing, I have been showing here for 4 years. Flo manages the gallery with a lovely team who are friendly and knowledgeable about the work on show. Beside The Wave is nestled in the heart of Falmouth with fabulous views across the Harbour.

Millbrook, Plymouth, The Byre Gallery. Elaine first saw my work in 2016 when a customer walked into her gallery wearing my Monolith Triple Strand necklace. We have been working together ever since. Elaine is also one of the judges at The Craft Festival in Bovey Tracey each year. The Byre is in a beautiful converted barn in glorious rolling countryside, a short distance from Rame beach.

Matlock, Derbyshire, AG Gallery I joined AG last year and Kerry has been working really hard to establish my work in her gallery. It is really nice to have the connection back to the area I grew up in too. I went to school in Bakewell and AG started out there too. Matlock is a pretty former spa town on the edge of the Peak District.

You can browse through a full list of galleries I show with here.

Just a Card campaign has been working really hard to raise awareness of independent businesses too, check out their website for more details on the great message they are spreading.
