GOLD TOPOGRAPHY NECKLACE

GOLD TOPOGRAPHY NECKLACE

£175.00

Gold Topography necklace inspired by landscape.

This necklace has a single larger link shaped in the outline of the pendant as I like these small details which make my pieces of work stand out from the crowd… the devil is in the details! The gold plated, solid silver charm shaped like the contours of an O/S map or a 3D rendering of our stunning landscape is the main feature of this necklace. You will always have a little piece of the wild with you while you wear this range.

The Topography Collection is inspired by landscape and cartography - Tasker says ‘Maps become far more than expressions of cartography, they become holders of our memories; part of our personal journeys to some extent, records of our passage through life itself.’ 1999

Topography is the study of the forms and features of land surfaces. Topographic maps use contours to show the elevation of different landforms, mountains, valleys, rivers. It is a detailed visual description or representation on paper of the physical features of an area.

These small nuggets of silver and gold are cast from cuttlefish which contains many layers which contour in the same way. A liminal space between sea and land caught in time.
