Distinctive Synthesis earrings, luxurious handmade jewellery

The earrings are made from many tiny hand cut pieces of silver and gold assembled into the final design, just as the great landscape I love is made up of millions of tiny living things.

The outline forms are inspired by the standing stones such as those at Stone Henge and the tiny Lichen forms that grow in clean, beautiful places. The gold used in my work represents the beauty and importance of our astonishing natural environment.

Synthesis meaning -  ‘The combining of separate elements or substances to form a coherent whole.’ This collection brings together the themes of Lichen and Monolith creating a strong visual design conveying the ideas of historic handworked craft and the human connection to place.
