One off Peruvian blue opal earrings

These beautiful blue opal cabochons make a stunning pair of statement earrings for those of you with a penchant for large jewellery. Each opal hangs from a textured square of recycled silver, each slightly different.

Found only in the Andes in Peru, the blue tear drop opals have beautiful dendritic details which are reminiscent of summer rock pools and holidays by the sea. They are set in an understated rub over setting to highlight the natural beautify of the stones.

The colour of the Peruvian Opal is said to look like the Caribbean sea but I think it looks very much like the coves around Cornwall in the summer when the sea turns a stunning turquoise and the rock pools team with life.
